Guitar for the Modern Era is an introductory and intermediate guitar class that combines traditional playing skills with modern music technology.

Students will learn the parts and functions of acoustic and electric guitars, amplifiers, and pedals while developing their playing technique. We’ll also explore basic recording software, audio engineering, and the science of sound and electricity.

The goal is to understand both the instrument and the technology around it, so students can become flexible, creative guitar players who are comfortable working in today’s digital music world while staying connected to the history of the instrument.
